Redbrick has been named one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People for 2026. It’s our first time winning this award, and we’re particularly excited as it reflects our commitment to hands-on co-op experience, mentorship, and early-career growth across our portfolio.

This recognition reflects something we care deeply about: helping early-career talent gain hands-on experience, learn from great people, and build careers with momentum. At Redbrick, co-op students and new grads are our teammates, which means meaningful work, real ownership, and thoughtful support from day one.

Building companies by investing in people

Over the past couple of years, Redbrick reached major milestones, including becoming a Certified B Corporation, expanding its portfolio through acquisitions, and continuing to invest in a purpose-driven, people-first workplace. As a company that builds, acquires, and operates innovative businesses, growth has been part of our story, but so has our commitment to building a workplace where people can thrive.

Through that growth, one priority has stayed constant: supporting emerging talent. We’re proud to continue offering co-op work terms and internships at a time when many companies are cutting these programs.

Early-career pathways at Redbrick

A co-op program built for real experience

At Redbrick, co-op and work-term placements are paid internships. Co-op students are brought in as an integral part of our success and are given hands-on tasks early in their terms so they can see their impact quickly.

In the past year, we hired 21 co-op students into roles across marketing, customer success, engineering, QA, content, cloud, events, people and culture, data, and more.

Since our initial involvement in co-op programs almost a decade ago, over 91 co-op students have come to Redbrick for work experience, and nearly 40% have been hired after graduation into part-time or full-time roles. In the past 12 months, 8 previous co-op students joined Redbrick as full-time employees.

Early-career employees also gain exposure to different areas of the business, not only within their own company but across the full Redbrick portfolio.

Learning, development, and mentorship

Development is a key part of Redbrick’s culture, which doesn’t end when co-ops become employees. Multiple programs and resources ensure that we’re investing in growth.

These programs include:

  • A professional development stipend for full-time employees that is usable for tuition, conferences, courses, and training
  • In-house leadership development programming
  • DEI learning through DRIVE and Monthly Collective Learnings
  • Our internal learning management system, Accelerate, is built to support professional growth and skill development

For connection and mentorship, Redbrick also runs Virtual Coffee Chats, where employees are paired monthly with someone outside their direct team. This includes senior leaders, and all CEOs participate.

What it feels like to work here

Awards are a good benchmark, but a consistent culture is what makes them true.

At Redbrick, we aim to build a workplace rooted in collaboration, curiosity, belonging, and flexibility, where people can do great work and grow in ways that feel sustainable.

One of the clearest reflections of that commitment is our B Corp Certification. We wanted to join a global community of businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental impact. For us, it’s a recognition of something we believe deeply: the way we treat the environment, our employees, and our larger community is connected. Building a sustainable business means investing in people, fostering an inclusive workplace, and using our work to support a better future.

As part of our commitment as a benefit corporation, we aim to conduct responsible and sustainable business, increase representation of women and people of diverse backgrounds in tech, foster an inclusive and supportive work environment, and use a portion of profits to advance these goals.

"I am constantly surrounded by highly motivated and committed individuals, which intrinsically pushes me to do better. On top of that, as a co-op, I am treated the same as a full-time employee."

Leigh Kowalchuk, Software Developer in Test Co-op, Summer/Fall Semester 2025

Flexibility and support that works for real life

Redbrick supports flexibility because there is no one-size-fits-all approach. We support remote work across the organization and empower managers to establish a model that works best for their teams.

"When I started as a co-op, I felt like a part of the team, growing my skills and knowledge immensely. The support from the people at Delivra has helped me jumpstart my career in ways I couldn't have imagined."

Thomas Plant, Software Developer I

Redbrick also offers a range of benefits and programs designed to support well-being and work-life integration. This includes flexible work models across teams and a $500 home office allowance to help employees create a comfortable space in which to do their best work. We also offer six paid Wellness Days each year, along with wellness reimbursement options, team events, and community initiatives (including paid volunteer time off for employees and co-ops).

And that’s just a snapshot. There’s a lot more that supports how we work, connect, and take care of ourselves as whole humans.

What comes next?

Being named one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People for 2026 is a moment we’re proud of. It’s also a reminder that building an exceptional workplace is ongoing work. We’ll continue to invest in early-career talent by offering hands-on co-op experiences, supporting learning and development, and fostering a culture that enables people to grow throughout their careers.

"Early-career talent should be trusted with meaningful work and supported with the mentorship and learning opportunities to grow quickly. Being named one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People reflects our commitment to helping emerging professionals build strong foundations, expand their skills, and shape real impact across our portfolio."

Christine Tatham, Chief People Officer
